Ever struggle to spell the name of your state? If so, you’re not alone. The map at right shows the most common misspelling of every state by its residents; the ones misspelled the most are shown in dark green. To come up with the data, researchers analyzed Google trends to find out how many locals searched for “How to spell” and the state’s name in the past year. How would you do on a state name spelling bee?
