How Old Is Your State’s Population?
America’s population is getting older. The median age in 2022 was 38.9 years, up 0.2 years from 2021 and continuing a trend from previous years. (The median is the middle number in a set of data.) This map shows the median age for each state in 2022, with Utah having the lowest. Are you surprised by the states with the youngest and oldest median ages?
