Which States Are Going Electric?
Roughly 1.6 million electric vehicles (E.V.s) were sold in the U.S. in 2023, a 60 percent increase from the 1 million sold in 2022. This map shows the number of registered E.V.s per 100,000 people by state as of June 2024. California has the highest number, followed by Florida and Texas. Do you see any trends on the map?
